Omaha Children's Museum, in partnership with Valmont® Industries, will host a Picnic Under the Pivot on Saturday, August 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Omaha Children's Museum.
Grab a picnic blanket and join us on the grass patch for this one-day event featuring outdoor activities, giveaways from local sponsors, a raffle, and free drinks and hot dogs provided by the Nebraska Pork Producers (while supplies last).
Activities will include face painters, balloon artists, bubbles, outdoor play blocks, and guests will have the chance to get an up close look at the Valley® 8000 series Center Pivot on display for our upcoming fall exhibit, Once Upon a Farm, opening October 18.

About the Valley 8000 series Center Pivot
The Valley 8000 series center pivot at Omaha Children's Museum has a 45' span and an 18' overhang. The 8000 series pivot is the premier Valley center pivot and is known by growers as the "Cadillac" of the industry. Valley pivots can measure up to a half mile in length and irrigate more than 500 acres of crop during a single rotation. The state of Nebraska is the largest producer of center pivots in the world and the largest irrigator in the United States.
